Some cases are more complex than others. Some cases have larger settlement values than others. In conventional mediations the parties agree to mediate whereas mandatory mediation requires parties to participate. Lawyers for plaintiffs and defendants alike want to keep cost down. Therefore parties may wish to use a mediator who provides services at roster rates for those cases which are less complicated, have fewer issues or where positions are entrenched.  Plaintiff lawyers and defence insurance counsel with a large numbers of cases can identify those claims which should proceed by using a mediator at roster rates. Cancellation POLICY

Mediation cancelled 30 days or more prior to the mediation without charge. 

Mediation cancelled less than 30 days prior to the mediation are subject to the following fees:

Mediation cancelled less than 2 days prior to the mediation - Full price plus non-cancellable disbursements.
